My Shala
Shala means house in Sanskrit. The term is used in Ashtanga yoga to mean a house of yoga, that is, a yoga studio. The shala I go to is located in Silverlake near my house, and is dedicated to the practice and study of Ashtanga Yoga. The first time I entered, I knew I had come home.
